Tianguis CNT 1

After concluding the first Digital Tourism Tianguis 2020 edition, the Secretary of Tourism and Sustainability, Luis H. Araiza mentioned in an interview for Los Cabos a la Carta that although it did not have the impact that was expected, because the sanitary conditions did not allow It should be done in a traditional way, however, the secretary pointed out that, while it has to continue to be done in this scheme, it will be necessary to take advantage of these tools that, without a doubt, represent the new technological trends that offer great scope in tourism.

Baja California Sur's participation in this event was free of charge with the inclusion of the State Trusts and Los Cabos, so the presence in this international forum was achieved to continue promoting its beauty and all the wealth it has to share with national and international tourists.

Regarding the question about the study on child sexual exploitation recently presented before the National Tourism Business Council (CNET) by Senator Josefina Vázquez Mota, where Mexico is exposed as the second place in the world for this aberrant activity and Los Cabos as one of the ten tourist destinations in our country where this terrible reality is detected, the secretary said that it is an act that must be diminished and that there are even badges that are delivered to the tourism sector where the efforts made against these criminal acts are recognized , accepting that as a tourism sector they must urgently enter into this matter to eradicate this evil that affects boys and girls throughout the country.

On the other hand, and on the theme of the International Tourism Day that is celebrated this September 27, the Secretary of Tourism highlighted that the Governor of the State held a series of events, among which the one held at Corumuel beach in La Paz where it raised the blue flag in recognition of this and 22 more of the beaches awarded with this distinction in Baja California Sur, as well as the Punto Limpio and Safe Travel certifications for the entity. In addition, the publication of a book on the Evolution of the Secretariat of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability in Baja California Sur in the last 35 years (1965-2020).
