"The tourist recovery of Baja California Sur is advancing with firm and safe steps, thanks to the strengthening and increase of air connectivity of the destinations of La Paz, Loreto and Los Cabos, with cities of great importance in our country and in the United States,"mentioned the Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability, Luis Humberto Araiza López after the news that for the month of December of this year, La Paz and Loreto will be connected with Dallas, Texas and Phoenix Arizona with seasonal flights in the months of December-March and June-August, operated by American Airlines.

He also mentioned that these new routes will allow the Magic Town of Loreto to attract the arrival of more tourists, which will also benefit Mulegé and Comondú thanks to their proximity to said municipality, which means a great step towards international tourism, since in the last 13 years, the South Californian port did not have flights abroad, according to information from Airports and Auxiliary Services.

On the other hand, he indicated that the company Viva Aerobus launched on September 25 a direct route with Mexico City and La Paz, and with regard to Los Cabos, recently Aeroméxico began operations with direct flights to Guadalajara, Jalisco, added the news that by the end of this year Eastern Airlines and American Airlines will launch a direct flight to New York City.
